Medium Density Polyethylene Pipes have been steadily gaining popularity worldwide since the 1950s as conduits for the transportation and distribution of water, and are now equally trusted across the Indian market.
Like HDPE pipes, MDPE pipes are available from 20 mm OD to 200 mm OD conforming to ISO 4427 — supplied either in 6-metre straight lengths or in standard coils of 50 m, 100 m and 150 m up to the maximum size of 200 mm OD. Electrofusion and compression fittings are used for joining pipes.
Two pipe ends are inserted into the electro socket. An integrated heating coil melts the surrounding material so it becomes integral with the pipes; on cooling a leak-proof joint is formed.
